Mark E. Damon, CPA, MACC


Managing Partner

Mark grew up in the Rogue Valley and attended Oregon State University. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from OSU in 2002. Upon graduation, he accepted a position as an Audit Associate at an international CPA firm based in Portland. His clients there ranged from small, publicly traded entities to large municipals in the Portland metropolitan area. Mark left the Portland firm to pursue his Master’s in Accounting at the University of Oregon in 2004. After graduation, he accepted a position with another large Portland CPA firm as a Senior Auditor.

After several years in Portland,Mark and his wife decided to move back to the Rogue Valley. Mark spent almost four years at PRS as the Vice President and Corporate Controller where he oversaw 50+ operating entities. He was responsible for a staff of 30+individuals, budgets, financial reporting, and the audit/tax process. After five years in private industry, Mark decided it was time to move back into Public Accounting. 

Mark joined KDP Certified Public Accountants, LLP in September of 2012 as a Principal. He became a Partner in January of 2013 and has served in the Managing Partner role for the firm since 2014. Mark has led several growth initiatives during his tenure at KDP, resulting in the addition of many team members and new Partners. His experience in public accounting, industry, and business ownership provides a unique and balanced perspective of the pressures and complexities faced by organizations in today’s business climate.     

Mark's community involvement includes being an active member of the Asante Finance Committee. He served as Secretary on the Board of Oregon Society of CPAs, and the Past Chair of the Southern Oregon Chapter of the Oregon Society of CPAs. 

In his personal life, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Keeley, and their two young children. He also enjoys mountain biking, travel, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
